The Odyssey  is an ancient Greek epic attributed to Homer. The poem 
tells the tale of Odysseus as he returns home from the Trojan War. 
Upon his return, he finds his estate in disarray and his wife under the 
siege of numerous suitors. The Odyssey  uses formal verse in a metrical 
style to deliver its message of the rational intellect’s ability to allow 
good to triumph over evil.
